Ministry Training Institute

Ministry Training Institute Satellite
First Baptist Church has linked with The Chapel at Crossroads and Liberty University to provide a viable Christian Education that can prepare you for future ministry opportunity or growing in one's personal profession of faith. Classes at First Baptist will begin during the fall semester
Schedule Below
Our Vision
We believe the church exists to mobilize Christ-followers to go out into their world and give every man, woman, and child the opportunity to see and hear the Gospel on repeated occasions. We are convinced that Christ-followers are best equipped to do that when they know God’s story, when they understand God’s truth, and when they identify with God’s heart. The Ministry Training Institute (M.T.I.) is a vehicle by which Christ-followers are trained on a college-level to know and then communicate God’s story.
Our Program
Twelve courses are offered in the diploma program: designed to accomplish the objectives stated above. You can know God’s truth through six Bible Survey courses (Old Testament I, II and III; New Testament I, II and III). You can know God’s truth through three theology courses (Theology I, II and III). And you can know God’s heart through three church-related courses (Pastoral Counseling, Apologetics, and Evangelism).
Your Options
Twelve courses are offered in the diploma program: designed to accomplish the objectives stated above. You can know God’s truth through six Bible Survey courses (Old Testament I, II and III; New Testament I, II and III). You can know God’s truth through three theology courses (Theology I, II and III). And you can know God’s heart through three church-related courses (Pastoral Counseling, Apologetics, and Evangelism). It is a significant part of the strategy of our church to partner with other churches, using our resources to help train ministry leaders. That is why we have made these classes convenient and affordable
Convenient
These are 3 credit hour courses. That normally means 3 hours of class time each week. Through our uniquely designed program, you will spend 75 minutes in independent study (in preparation for the class) and 75 minutes in class.
Affordable
These classes are also very affordable. Students enrolled in the M.T.I. diploma program pay a one-time $20 registration fee and only $40 per class. That means a student can receive a complete Bible college education for only $500. Students enrolled in our program for college credit pay a one-time $35 application fee, $50 technology fee every semester, and only $90 a credit hour. In addition, Liberty University is fully accredited (meaning financial aid is available).
Course Strategy
These classes are survey courses. The main objective is to give you an overview or basic understanding of the Bible to further enhance your ability to tell God’s story in whatever ministry you are engaged. Our academic and personal goal is implementation: to know God’s word and to apply God’s word. You will learn God’s word on an academic, devotional and practical level.
